SCHNITZEL
THE
EASY
CHAIRS
Take The Faces, Gram Parsons, Ike and Tina, and The Stones, strain them through four guys from Richmond, Virginia, and you pretty much have the band, Easy Chairs. Easy Chairs blend rock, country, and soul to create simple music for a not-so-simple time. Their mission is to give their audience a good time and to have a good time doing it.
Easy Chairs rose from the ashes of the short- lived, all-star melting pot, High Life (which featured members of Heath Haynes and The Crying Shames, Horsehead, Dragstrip Syndicate, Lucky Stiffs, Fun Size, and Peru). After High Life broke up, a few surviving members wanted to keep the rock rolling. After searching for the one to "fit just right", came singer/songwriter Allen Thompson to fill the shoes of lead guitar player. The shoe fit and the chemistry was undeniable. Que: Easy Chairs.
If I can't play a song while drinkin', I didn't write it. - Eric, singer/ guitarist from Easy
Chairs

THE TATERS
THE
SPACEHEATERS
"The
Spaceheaters" have been a four/three piece band calling Richmond, Virginia
their home since 1997. They at one time had three guitar players...their
current line-up includes two guitars, drum and bass. Citing influences
ranging from country and metal to blues, rock and techno, "The Spaceheaters"
have been gaining momentum as a live band. Last year has proven to be the
band's best year yet...playing more shows in 2005 than all the previous years
combined both in Richmond and out of town.

THE TATERS
KARI
SMITH
Richmond-based
singer/songwriter and pianist Kari Smith has been gathering crowds with her
fresh vocal style and contagious smile, whether it be local fans in a crowded
coffee shop, or on stage performing for thousands. Rather than waiting to be
discovered, Kari is reaching her audience through local venues while writing new
material, and working with such industry experts as master engineer and
entertainment attorney Matthew Roberts of Soundcone, and John Henneberger,
producer and owner of Termite Lounge studio.
"As a vocalist, you can hear how Kari is mature beyond her years,"
says Matt Roberts. In addition to a full solo acoustic schedule, Kari frequently
sings with other bands, such as Southern rock group Sin City Revival, and
rock/pop group Leon Milmore, whose album "24 Days" (released 2004, JNH
Music) features her backing vocals. Through this experience, she has also had
the opportunity to share the stage with such national acts as Huey Lewis &
The News, Sugar Ray, and Switchfoot. She's also been a repeat performer of the
National Anthem at minor-league baseball team Richmond Braves stadium.
In September 2006, she independently released an original EP album "go with
you", which sold over 200 copies in the first 6 months from internet and
show sales alone. Her poignant, real-life original compositions range from
leisurely, expressive mixes such as "Sweet Music Man," to such bluesy,
driving rhythms as "I Call It Love," featured in independent film
"Middle of the Road" (released August 2005, Red Cactus Films).
Producer John Henneberger says "her song-writing is superb and reflects
that of a seasoned veteran while maintaining a 'freshness' in approach needed in
today's musical landscape." She is currently working on an alternative
country album to be released in July 2006.
In addition to a full-time college schedule where she is pursuing a degree in
music, Kari maintains a full performance schedule in the Richmond and
surrounding areas, teaches piano lessons, and is planning a move to Nashville,
TN, at the end of summer 2006.
